PM1

Project in Computational Linguistics

The topics of the project modules vary from year to year, but the general idea is that you team up with other students, read up on a specific topic in the field, formulate your own research question, and then do your own research on the topic of your own choice. This might range from reimplementing an existing system and playing around with it to see how small changes affect its performance, to developing your own system for a previously unstudied question, to designing and carrying out experiments. Sometimes you might even publish a research paper on your findings, although this is by no means required.
