Timo Baumann - Software - TELIDA

TELIDA, our software for the manipulation and visualisation of timed linguistic data, is comprised of several components:

• TEDview, a lightweight viewer for timed linguistic data, which can be easily extended through a plug-in architecture,
• TGtool and INtool, two command-line tools for non-incremental and incremental data handling, respectively, and
• a library which exposes all functionality of the tools mentioned above (and more) and allows to quickly implement powerful scripts to process (merge, separate, editing, search-and-replace, filtering, ...) timed linguistic data.

Unlike other tools, TELIDA not only represents interval and point events, in several tracks, but also hypothesis events, which are the points of creation of hypotheses about events (and may contain even arbitrary, user-defined data). TELIDA thus allows to work with data where our hypothesis about "what happens when" itself changes over time.
