Andreas Peldszus

I'm a PhD student at the University of Potsdam in Manfred Stede's Applied Computational Linguistics Discourse Research Lab. In my dissertation project I seek explanatory models of argumentative text for the recognition of argumentation structure. My research interests include discourse and dialogue modelling; underspecification, incrementality and compositionality in meaning processing; theories of meaning; annotation methodology.

Since July 2015, I work as a computational linguist at Retresco. Before, I held doctoral scholarships from the Cusanuswerk and from the Collaborative Research Centre (SFB) 632.

I received my Master's degree in Computational Linguistics and Philosophy at Potsdam University. Before, I worked as a student assistant for Manfred Stede for several years and in the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) Komparse project.
